Meet Our Oberhasli Herd: Where Every Bar of Goat Milk Soap Begins

Before every bar of goat milk soap is poured, there are these girls.

Our Oberhasli goats are part of the family and the heart of Mother’s Love Homestead. They spend their days browsing beneath the South Georgia pines, resting in fresh hay, raising healthy kids, and providing the fresh milk we use in our handcrafted soaps.

A Breed We Love

Oberhaslis are known for their beautiful bay coloring, dark markings, alert personalities, and rich dairy heritage. On our farmstead, each goat is known by name and cared for as an individual—not simply as part of production.

From Our Herd to Your Home

We use fresh milk from our own herd in our goat milk soaps. We do not use powdered goat milk. Every batch is mixed and poured by hand, each bar is individually cut, and the soaps are allowed to cure slowly before they are ready for your home.

Life on the Farmstead

The work of tending a dairy herd happens every day—feeding, fresh water, clean bedding, hoof care, watching over pregnancies, welcoming new kids, and making sure everyone is safe and comfortable. It is steady, ordinary work, but it is also deeply meaningful.

These animals are part of the larger vision for Mother’s Love Homestead: a regenerative farmstead where families, veterans, and local students can one day learn about responsible animal care, traditional skills, food, and the connection between the land and the products we use.
